Delete your account
You can erase your Honest Days account, and everything recorded under it, from inside the app. It takes about thirty seconds, needs nobody's approval, and is a genuine deletion rather than a deactivation.
Delete it yourself, in the app
- Open Honest Days and sign in as the account you want to remove. No subscription is needed — if the app is showing you the paywall, the Delete account link at the bottom of that screen does the same thing.
- Go to Settings — the tab at the bottom right.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Read the warning, then type your email address to confirm. This is the address the account signs in with; nothing happens if it doesn't match.
- Tap Delete everything.
Most accounts are gone before the button stops spinning. A very large one finishes in the background, normally within a few minutes, and is locked against any further change from the moment you confirm.
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. A subscription is billed by Google Play, not by us, and we cannot cancel it on your behalf. Cancel it first at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions — otherwise you will keep being charged for an account that no longer exists. On iOS, cancel it in the App Store instead.
What gets deleted
Everything. Specifically, and permanently:
- Your sign-in account and the email address and display name attached to it
- Your business details — name, address, currency, tax rate, payment terms, invoice numbering
- Every client, including their contact details and billing address
- Every project
- Every task type and every rate on your rate card, including client and project overrides
- Every time entry, billable or not, and any running timer
- Every expense and material cost
- Every discount and fee
- Every invoice — draft, issued, sent, or void — along with its payments, its share link, and any PDF generated from it
Any share link you have sent to a client stops working at the same moment. If a client still needs a copy of an invoice, send them the PDF before you delete the account.
What is kept, and for how long
- Your purchase record at the store. Google Play (or Apple) keeps its own record of what you bought under its own policy. We do not control it and cannot delete it.
- Operational logs — that a request happened, when, and whether it failed. These carry no invoice contents and are discarded on the platform's rolling schedule, within 30 days.
- Encrypted infrastructure backups. Deleted records may survive in Google Cloud's backups for a short period before those rotate out. They are not readable by the app and are never restored into it.
There is no undo, and no grace period. Once the deletion runs, we have no copy to give you back — that is the point of it. Save the PDFs of any invoice you may need for your records or your taxes before you start.
If you can't sign in
Deletion has to be requested from the account itself, because that is the only proof we have that it is yours. If you have lost access, try a password reset from the sign-in screen first.
If that doesn't work, write to bioruststudios+honestdays@gmail.com from the email address the account uses, with Account deletion request as the subject. We will confirm the address is the one on the account and delete it for you, normally within a few business days and at most within 30 days.
